What is the San Diego Recruiters Roundtable?
The San Diego Recruiters Roundtable is a community of hundreds of local HR Professionals who join together to share information and network within San Diego’s business community. Our SDRR Listserv is a super highway of HR information, where members exchange ideas and industry related advice in real time. SDRR is constantly looking for new ways to add value to our membership. Our Board of Directors meets regularly to develop and implement our strategy and vision. Our strategic goal is to utilize the power of our membership base to drive change in San Diego's HR Community and create awareness in the general business community of the value of networking and information sharing and the importance of a strong HR presence in every organization.

SDRR was founded in 1998 as a vehicle for a small group of HR Professionals to share information on HR and Recruiting related topics. Today, we have grown to be one of San Diego’s largest and best known HR Networking Communities. Our membership base is targeted to a focused group that includes Human Resources Professionals, Executives and Consultants. Our members range in experience from new-to-the-industry to seasoned executives.

History of the San Diego Recruiters Roundtable
Julie Magnuson, President of Magnuson Consulting, is the founding member of SDRR and has held the position of Chairperson since its inception in 1998. SDRR has gone through many changes and directions over its history. Originally a 5-member organization meeting once a month in an open discussion forum, it quickly grew by the year 2000 to several hundred members, and our focus became holding monthly events with speakers and presentations for 50-100 attendees. Recognizing by 2004 that times had changed and our then 500+ members preferred email interaction to monthly time commitments, we discontinued monthly meetings and became solely an email based networking format. By 2007, our membership had grown to over 1000 members sharing ideas and information on a daily basis. SDRR was relaunched in its current format February 12, 2008. Now, our group is a web and email based networking society where we provide targeted forums for specific HR related topics, and we continue to use our email networking tool in addition to the many resources provided in our membership areas.

Who can join the San Diego Recruiters Roundtable
Membership to SDRR is only open to HR Professionals and Practitioners who manage or support the human resource function at companies located in San Diego, CA. Our members are encouraged to network and share information freely, and must be able to do so in an environment free of solicitations.  

While we appreciate and value the professional partnership we maintain with our HR Service Providers, to ensure the focus of our vision and mission statement, we must limit membership to SDRR to HR Professionals and HR Consultants as defined in our Membership Requirements. However, we have created a special way to bring HR Service Providers and HR Practitioners together. SDRR has a Service Provider Network that anyone can use to look for top HR vendors, service providers, and agencies in San Diego County.
SDRR is committed to being San Diego’s top HR Networking Community. We appreciate your interest in our group, and welcome your feedback anytime.

What are the rules in the San Diego Recruiters Roundtable
NO posting, information or email guarantees or warrantees.
The person placing the posting or email is fully responsible and 100% liable for the information and content he or she provides.  The San Diego Recruiters Roundtable does not guarantee or endorse any information, products, documents or services provided by its members and takes no responsibility or liability for reliance on or in them. This includes all documents in our document library. SDRR is not responsible for any errors, omissions, or misinformation provided by any member on its forums, website or email lists. Any advice, information or comments given on this site by SDRR Members, Consultants, Legal Advisors or its owners is strictly for educational purposes by Human Resource professionals in a networking and information sharing environment. NO posting offensive or inappropriate messages.
Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use SDRR to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violates any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyrighted material is owned by you. Although we do not and cannot review all the messages posted and are not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we reserve the right to delete any message for any reason whatsoever.

NO marketing or solicitations on our email listserv at any time.
SDRR maintains a very strict No Solicitation policy at all times. Members agree to not solicit any SDRR members for the purpose of marketing candidates for a fee at any time. Members agree not to solicit any SDRR members for any business, unless you are responding directly to a specific member request for services that do not violate our membership criteria. Members agree to not contact candidates whose resumes are shared through SDRR for the purpose of charging a placement fee for referring their resume to any place of business. Members agree not to share requests for information by SDRR members to any non-members that will result in unwanted solicitations from vendors to that member.

Email subjects and content
Emails to the group must have a clear and concise subject, and be related to Human Resource networking or information sharing. Non-business or non-HR related topics are not permitted. For example: When sharing resumes, please list the candidate’s name and area of expertise in the subject. When sharing job leads, please put in the job title and company name in the subject. When asking a question, please include the nature of the question in the subject line.

Individual memberships and Corporate Discounts
All memberships to SDRR are provided to qualified Individuals only and are not transferrable at any time during the membership period. Memberships remain with the member regardless of where they work, and members can update their member profile and contact information at any time.  Memberships are not issued or sold to companies and organizations. Membership discounts are offered when 5 or more individuals from a single organization join SDRR.  (5-9 memberships at 33% discount, 10+ memberships at 50% discount).
